Oh man, the latest Need for Speed 2015 is an absolute treat and a great installment….. my quench for speed is being treated well !!
I installed the game couple nights ago on my Xbox One and have already spent hours playing it out. It has been a thrilling experience so far.
Need for Speed 2015 is the 22nd title in the NFS series and is developed by Ghost Games, as well as Criterion Games, and Visceral Games using the Frostbite 3 engine. The game is published by Electronic Arts (EA).
Unlike the previous versions, Need for Speed 2015 has only a limited amount of cars which are unlocked from the very start and can be bought once you have enough money. This actually is a wise step because limited number of cars mean you will spend more time on one car, customizing it extensively, and hence get more attached to it.
You can customize the car exactly the way you want it and design your very own dream mobile. Just check out this amazing customization by GTA Wise Guy…. really awesome.
Graphics-wise there’s a lot of attention to detail which makes the game very near to reality; you can seen it in the quality of the cars and the open world. Even the cutscenes are actual full motion footages, which I guess was necessary so that the they blend well within the gameplay.

I’ve played a lot of NFS over the years, started off on the original NFS back in 1997 with severe split-screen competitions with friends, so for me the multiplayer-always version of the latest NFS makes it even more entertaining. You’re always driving around town to find other drivers, exhibit your customized toy, and to simply compete in the virtual world.
One catch though is that NFS 2015 is a multiplayer-only title and requires a persistent Internet connection. But I do believe that this actually raises the level of excitement and competitiveness within the overall experience. I mean, who doesn’t want to show-off their brute machine and driving skills!!
Need for Speed 2015 is a night time to dusk game. I suggest that you try playing it during late hours of the day to get that feeling of nocturnal driving.
As usual, there have been some negative reviews; some criticizing it for being always-online, having only dusk to dawn racing, rubberbanding* AI, the inability to pause the game, and no manual transmission. To me, none of these points matter at all since you get so immersed in the gameplay that the pros overhaul the cons.
So step aside few hours this weekend and try out Need for Speed 2015. Do share your experience with me and share your beast-machine.
* Rubberbranding occurs in online gaming when latency is relatively high. Players (or yourself) will appear to move in one direction, and then suddenly be teleported back several feet where they once were a few seconds ago.
